| Die 10. Wissenschaftstagung zum ökologischen Landbau findet 2009 in der Schweiz statt. Ausgerichtet wird sie von der Forschungsanstalt Agroscope Reckenholz-Tänikon ART, dem Forschungsinstitut für biologischen Landbau (FiBL), dem Departement Agrar- und Lebensmittelwissenschaften der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule (ETH) sowie der Stiftung Ökologie & Landbau (SÖL). Unter dem Motto «Werte – Wege – Wirkungen» präsentieren und diskutieren die Teilnehmenden aktuelle ethische Aspekte, produktionstechnische Fortschritte und gesellschaftspolitisch relevante Auswirkungen des biologischen Landbaus. | Dans cette vidéo, Delphine Bouttet présente les activités de la « digiferme » dédiée aux grandes cultures, à Boigneville, dans l’Essonne, avec trois systèmes de production (Bio, agriculture de conservation et conventionelle). En 2016, Arvalis en partenariat avec l’IDELE, l’ITB et Terres Inovia a lancé le projet « digifermes ». L’agriculture est un domaine d’application privilégié des utilisations du numérique. | A Marcelin (VD), un nouveau modèle de verger est expérimenté depuis 2013 par le FiBL et le Service de l'Agriculture et de la Viticulture du Canton de Vaud (SAVI). Il est conduit par la Ferme bio des Sapins, à Colombier-sur-Morges VD. Il vise à produire des fruits, des légumes et de l'équilibre. Il cherche à intégrer des éléments d’agroforesterie et de permaculture. Le BioDiVerger est organisé en deux espaces. Une surface de 54 ares est en agroforesterie, alternant lignes de fruitiers et plantes fixatrices d’azote avec bandes herbeuses, haies ou planches de maraichage ; l’autre espace « type permaculture », destiné à l’auto-cueillette, couvre 6 ares ; il comprend un grand nombre d’arbres, d’arbustes et de plantes grimpantes, vivaces ou annuelles. |

| Within the CORE Organic project MIX-ENABLE, Steffen Werne (FiBL) and his team are testing more sustainable ways of controlling gastrointestinal nematodes in ruminants. Farmers usually control parasites by using dewormers. However, resistance against these products is increasing. One approach is mixed grazing of different livestock species. It is well known that sheep and goats can benefit from mixed grazing with cattle in terms of animal health and performance. This is because gastrointestinal parasites are usually specialized in one livestock species, and mixed grazing has thus a “diluting” effect. | Katja Jacot (Agroscope), Hans Ramseier (HAFL) Henryk Luka (FiBL) et Markus Schütz présentent dans cette vidéo différents types de bandes fleuries: bandes fleuries pour pollinisateurs et pour insectes utiles dans les cultures de céréales et de choux. La biodiversité forme la base de nombreux processus comme par exemple la pollinisation naturelle et la régulation des ravageurs (biodiversité fonctionnelle). Pour que les pollinisateurs et autres insectes utiles puissent remplir cette fonction de façon efficace, ils doivent être encouragés par des mélanges de fleurs adaptés. | Bio allein macht nicht gesünder. Aber Bioprodukte sind Bestandteil eines nachhaltigen und gesunden Ernährungsstils. Die meistgenannten Erwartungen von Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten an Bioprodukte lassen sich wie folgt zusammenfassen: keine Pestizidrückstände, besserer Geschmack, besser für Gesundheit und Umwelt. Ein Überblick über die verfügbare Fachliteratur zeigt, dass Bioprodukte diese Erwartungen meist erfüllen. Die Frage, wie sich die gefundenen Unterschiede auf die menschliche Gesundheit auswirken, ist jedoch experimentell noch wenig erforscht. |

| Rätus Fischer hat in den 1970er-Jahren eine der ersten Doktorarbeiten zum Biolandbau verfasst. Nicht nur an der ETH lehnten damals Experten Bio als unrealistische Idee ab. Fischer befragte 100 Biobäuerinnen und -Bauern über ihre Beweggründe, Arbeitsweisen und Erfahrungen. Mit seiner Arbeit zeigte er, was die Bauern machen, und dass es funktioniert. Das konnten auch die Kritiker nicht wegdiskutieren. |

| Le terrain situé autour de la ferme offre une variété importante d’habitats pour un grand nombre de plantes et d’animaux sauvage. Une exploitation agricole peut en effet représenter un paradis riche en biodiversité, que ce soit contre la maison ou la grange, dans l’étable ou au jardin. Des mesures simples permettent de fournir aux insectes, oiseaux, amphibiens, reptiles et petits mammifères des sites de nidification appropriés, des lieux de refuge ou de la nourriture. Certaines espèces peuvent en outre être favorisées au moyen de mesures spécifiques. | Wireworms are a common pest in organic potato crops. They are persistent and tough and so far, there are only indirect measures to control them. In the video, Giselher Grabenweger (Agroscope) provides an overview of approved methods to control the worms such as crop rotation and tillage. He also explains why potato varieties containing a lot of starch are less affected by wireworms. In addition to the indirect measures, Agroscope (together with Swiss and German partners) developed specific organic control options. As an enemy of wireworms the researchers found insecticidal fungi of the genus Metarhizium. In meadows, they observed a natural control of wireworms achieved by these soil fungi. | The report presents the current (2005) status of organic farming resarch in Switzerland. Switzerland has a long history of organic farming research, which in its beginnings has been carried out by organic farming pioneers and by private institutions like the Goetheanum, Möschberg Centre and the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL). It was in the 1990s, when Swiss Federal Agricultural Research Stations (Agroscope) became also involved in organic research topics.
